Pastor Rigdon and his wife Julia were both born in Indiana. Pastor Rigdon was born west of Indianapolis in Danville, IN and graduated from Cascade High School. Pastor Rigdon was saved as a sixteen year old boy while attending Eagledale (now Crosspointe) Baptist Church. He surrendered the call to the ministry and attended Bible College at Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN. He graduated with his Masters of Ministry and entered into full-time ministry in October of 2005 at Lester Baptist Church in Lester, WV. In June of 2011 he went to work on staff at Shining Light Baptist Church for Pastor Tim Cruse until August of 2013. Pastor Rigdon moved back home to the Indianapolis area to be near his aging parents and to help assist them as needed. On September 21, 2016 Pastor Rigdon accepted the call for pastor at Redeemer Baptist Church.
Julia was born in Shelbyville, IN and was a pastor's daughter. Her father, Jerry Yancey, pastored the FIrst Baptist Church in Daleville, IN and went home to be with the Lord in 1994. She was saved as a teenage girl and has lived her life as unto the Lord, seeking to please Him in all that she does. She has a tesimony that is Christ-honoring and is a wonderful pastor's wife. She is involved in the ministry and supporting her husband in the ministry that the Lord has called them to.
Pastor and Julia have three grown daughters, Brook Morgan, and Erika, living on their own and raising their own families. Pastor Rigdon has a deisre to write devotionals and has put into print three volumes of 30 day devotionals entitled, "Let's Take a Walk". He also is a contributing auther of the monthly dovotional booklet, "The Call to Glory."
